Hi gang, I have been using the choker type collars for a long time now since regular collars pop right over my pugs little heads, and I hate using them because of the obvious reasons and want to switch to a harness or vest type. I'm looking for the most convenient type of harness that is quick in and out because I have two pugs, and I have to take them out on a leash each and every time we go out because we can't have fenced in yards in my neighborhood. I ran to walmart last night and found a vest type harness in a size medium, which on the back said would fit Pug breeds....I knew better but I tried anyway. My pugs are pretty small in comparison to most that I've seen. The smallest has a 22in girth and I thought it might fit her, but it didn't even come close. I don't know what kind of pug this company was talking about but apparently it was for puppies. anyway...I really liked the design of the vest with the velcro and clip on the back, but I can't seem to find one that would fit a pug...even the XXL looks like it would fit a Jack Russel at best. Anyone have any luck with certain brands over another? Pictures would be appriciated too! Thanks!

We use Puppia harnesses. They all wear Large ... except Liberty - who is wearing a Medium in this picture. However, she will be getting a new one this Spring. Sometimes you can get some good deals on eBay
Check out my post "TUTU CUTE" ... my girls are wearing their harness with a tutu and a matching neck band!

Another puppia harness fan over here! My two both were a medium. I havn't managed to find them cheaper than £15 in the uk but Rambo has used the same harness for about 1 1/2 years now and Bella well i like to buy her a range of different styles. She just looks too cute in all the pink ones!
Elgor your girls looked super cute in their tutus!

We used a few of the Puppia's but Tessa would sneak out of them. So we got this one...

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure about the Puppia because everyone was saying they ran so small. I ordered a couple of the comfort control brand because they were under 10 dollars on Amazon and I figured I could afford to go wrong at that price. I'll see how that goes and if they aren't great I will spend the extra $ and try the Puppia. I love the pic above of all the babies in their harnesses! lol
